The Concept Design Specification is essentiallly a blue-print for the first fully working prototype. We use in-house production techniques to test the look, work and feel of the intended design. Early field testing may be performed on this prototype to check the likely performance of the finished article. By their definition, prototypes are not perfect but should survive early product demonstrations but are not intended to reflect the final reliability, performance or build quality of the finished production design. Lessons learned from the prototype testing will be carried over into the subsequent productionisation process.
Typical Deliverables at this stage are:-
- First PCB's and required modifications
- Fully Functioning Software though not fully debugged
- First enclosure design and build
- Keypad and displays operational
- Basic Product testing to meet Concept Design Spec and user trials.
