During this stage we tidy up the design, complete the tooling and produce the first batch of production standard units. Before commencement, a Pilot batch size will have been defined which produces sufficient units to optimise the manufacturing process and to complete product testing. Any external testing (such as EMC) will be done using a unit from this first Pilot Production batch. Also during this stage, all formal test procedures will be defined and any production tooling and test rigs will be made.
